Travel trunk as coffee table

I recently spotted this (vintage Louis Vuitton?) trunk at the Intercontinental Hotel in Boston. I love the idea of a trunk as a coffee table (or suitcases, but more on that later) and have been trying to figure out how to use it without stressing about damage to the top. I think the trays are such a great solution. I plan to use some old suitcases as a night table by stacking them and was running into the same issue. I didn't want to cover it with glass because I thought that looked tacky, but definitely wanted to protect the top. Anyone know where to find cool wooden trays like this?

  1. Nice blog, here is some more information on activity tables.

  2. Interesting things come your way but as you get older, your lifestyle changes. I don't want to travel; I don't want to be in a hotel room away from my family. Flights to New York
