Frankly, scarlet

I had a story in the Boston Globe last week about what it means to be a redhead. It was fun to write. I've actually had a version of this story brewing in my mind for a little while now so it was nice to finally get it on paper.

In honor of this, here are just a smattering of some magnificent crimson interiors:

Bedroom eyes

I think styling your bedroom should be the nexus around which you compose an entire house. Think about it: it's the last thing you see at night before you fall asleep and it's the first image you see when you wake in the morning. This is a space that can set the tone for your whole day. Best purchase ever

I bought this purse for £10 from a street vendor the first week I was living in London, and it continues to be one of my favorites. I can see the wear and tear starting to show, so I've been giving it a break in recent months.

A very important date

Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland" hits theaters today. I can't wait to see this film - I was obsessed with both the animated Disney one and of course the 1985 made for tv version (the jabberwocky scene continues to give me wonderful, creepy, amazing nightmares.)

Here now is a tribute to all things "Alice":

"I Royally Heart Alice in Wonderland" charm bracelet
$45 on

Paper Source, $12.50 for set of 8

"Heavenly Bunny," $198 on
