All you need is love
And amour. And liefde. And karlek. Fell in love with this poster in the latest issue of Rue Magazine.
After much sleuthing, I finally tracked it down on etsy and bought it!

I recently added some upgrades to my own entryway, and as such am inspired by these stylish foyers.

Vintage safari
Inspired by these vintage photos of intrepid travelers exploring the unknown. (Yes, I'm still stuck on the "find new frontiers" kick.)

There is a light and it never goes out
For those of us with small spaces, a lamp attached directly to the wall frees up precious real estate on side tables. And for those of us with really small spaces, it negates the need for a bed stand altogether!

Keep searching
I can say with absolute certainty that the book that made me want to be a writer was Kurt Vonnegut's "Cat's Cradle." As a way to inspire my creative writing, I recently re-read it and was struck by this passage:
"'Americans,'" he said, quoting his wife's letter to the Times, "'are forever searching for love in forms it never takes, in places it can never be. It must have something to do with the vanished frontier.'"

Ode to the ampersand
From T-shirt company Yellow Black & White:
"The Ampersand is the the symbol for inclusion. It represents that there is something else." {I just love that!}

Carry on my wayward son
As I said to my cousin over the weekend: I need a new bag like I need a hole in the head. (AKA no, not so much.) HOWEVER that did not stop me from scooping up this number at Rainy Day on Martha's Vineyard.

The catch-all
How do I love thee, little plates and cups and bowls that I keep close by, on a side table, in the bathroom, atop a bureau? These are the perfect spots to drop my earrings, some loose change, and a treasure or two. You keep my keys at the ready and guard my sunglasses by the door.
