The 1950s housewife style, reimagined for present day

The keys to reinterpreting the look of the 1950s housewife for modern day are pretty simple:  cinched in waists, ladylike patterns (like polka dots and gingham), skinny cropped pants, and of course, pearls.  The update comes from the styling -- like mixing patterns in the first and fifth photos, lots of layering, and even topping a ladylike dress with a leather jacket.

  1. I really like the tan sweater with the polka dots! Where did you find it? Thanks!

  2. Live the top look! Vintage but without looking like a costume. Classy and cute!
